Dragon Drones: Ukrainian Military Enhances Drone Capabilities

Ukrainian military has been refining its drone technology to enhance effectiveness, with the Dragon drones standing out as a key example of these advancements

Ukrainian soldiers are equipping drones with canisters that release thermite, a molten metal mixture of aluminum and iron oxide that burns at a scorching 4,400 degrees Fahrenheit (about 2,400 degrees Celsius), according to The New York Times. This intense reaction is self-sustaining during combustion and nearly impossible to extinguish.

Vyacheslav, the commander of the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade’s strike drone company known as Dovbush’s Hornets, explained that these drones help smoke out russian forces hiding in forests. The flames burn the vegetation that provides cover, exposing enemy soldiers and their equipment to direct attack. Since his unit arrived in the Pokrovsk area in April, they have reportedly killed more than 3,000 russian soldiers.
