Operators of the Balista unit conducted a special operation aimed at locating and destroying russian air defense assets in one of the operational directions.

During the operation, Ukrainian SOF identified two russian air defense systems positioned in the area. The targets included a launcher of an S-300 surface-to-air missile system and a combat vehicle of a Buk-M3 system.
Both russian systems were subsequently struck by the Balista operators. The operation resulted in damage to two different air defense assets in the same area.
The S-300 launcher is part of russian long-range surface-to-air missile system, while Buk-M3 is another air defense system used by russian forces to engage aerial targets.
The destruction of these systems reduces russia's ability to control the airspace in the affected area. Air defense assets play a key role in protecting russian positions and limiting the operation of Ukrainian aircraft and unmanned systems.
According to the SOF Command, eliminating the two systems creates additional opportunities for Ukrainian strike assets and drones to operate in the area.
