Today’s morning explosion on the Crimean Bridge indicates a split between russian security structures, as suggested by Podoliak

Neither the Ukrainian nor the russian sides have officially taken responsibility for the explosion that took place early in the morning of October 8. While russians continue the investigation, Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podoliak draws the lines toward an internal conflict in the Kremlin that one or another way led to the incident.

On his Twitter profile, Podoliak described the explosion that led to the important bridge between the Crimean Peninsula and russian territories going out of order as "the beginning" and suggested an explanation for what happened:

According to him, the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the russian federation and the unofficial Private Military Company "Wagner" have started a war to displace the authorities at the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff.

Later he told Reuters he believed the blast had been arranged by Russia, although he did not say how he knew.

"This is a concrete manifestation of the conflict between the FSB (intelligence service) and (private military companies) on the one hand and the Ministry of Defense/General Staff of the Russian Federation on the other," he said.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence says russian Rosgvardia enforcers had started a raid arresting "numerous military men" in the middle of Moscow.
