This was reported by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency of the U.S. Department of Defense.
"The Government of Ukraine has submitted a request to purchase three (3) High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS). The total estimated cost is $30 million, and funding will be provided by the Government of Germany on behalf of Ukraine," as stated in the announcement.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the urgency necessitating the immediate sale of these systems to Ukraine.
The weapons will be transferred from the stocks of the U.S. Army.
On the eve, the United States announced the allocation of a new $400 million military aid package to Ukraine. It includes ammunition for the Patriot, NASAMS, HIMARS systems, and artillery shells.
The M142 HIMARS is a lightweight version of the tracked M270 MLRS. HIMARS can launch a wide range of munitions at varying distances, including ATACMS ballistic missiles.
Reminding that Ukraine received its first HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems in the summer of 2022.
