Ukrainian troops blew up yet another state-of-the-art T-90M "Proryv" russian tank – one of the few Kremlin’s remaining hopes after the failure of the "Armata"

So far the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have documented the destruction of only two T-90M tanks, which is natural considering the small number of such vehicles in the russian army.

The first "Proryv" (russian for Breakthrough) was destroyed in early May near Kharkiv, eastern Ukraine; the second one got caught in July in the area of Izium. Now we can confidently add the following episode to this "collection":

The video clearly shows how the russian T-90M fires from the bushes, but receives a powerful response with the immediate detonation of the ammunition and the complete destruction of the vehicle and crew.

According to russian propagandists, the tank allegedly has a "unique level of protection" and "allows to save the tankers’ lives even if the ammunition gets hit". However, after a closer look at the video, we can see what exactly "broke through" the tank’s armor and destroyed it.

In the frame right before the explosion, there is a noticeable object flying into the side of the vehicle. Given the speed and size, we can assume that it is an anti-tank guided missile. Considering the fact that Javelin and NLAW quite characteristically hit the upper hemisphere, we assume that the T-90M was destroyed by another ATGM such as Ukrainian "Stugna", "Corsair", "Fagot" or foreign Milan or TOW.

As for the latter, they should now also be added to the list of ATGMs in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since their supply by the USA was announced in August.

P.S. Identification of the tank as T-90M may be inaccurate. The conclusion is made based on the characteristic rack located beyond the turret in the hull and the advanced equipment of the tower. But the quality of the image doesn't allow say for sure.
