The war criminal, who is the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu, visited the russian developer and manufacturer of long-range missiles MKB Raduga, which is part of JSC Tactical Missiles Corporation (major russian holding company for the manufacturers of military weapons, especially missiles). This enterprise manufactures or maintains the technical condition of Kh-22, Kh- 32, X-59, X-555, X-101 cruise missiles and others.
In the video released as a result of the visit, Serhiy Shoigu expressed dissatisfaction with the weapons available in the russian federation. In particular, being next to the Kh-59MK missile, he complained, saying that it was necessary to increase its range, which in practice is 250 km, although the official declared range was 285 km.

"That's what I want to tell you about - 250 km... We would need a range of 300 and beyond 300 km. Because what we see today - the range needs to be increased," Shoigu said and spread his hands.
The reasons why exactly 250 km no longer suits the head of the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation can be explained by two factors. The first is the loss of russian aviation due to the acquisition of new long-range air defense equipment by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the range of the Patriot SAM system against high-altitude aerodynamic targets will be 160 km, which already means the possibility of using the Kh-59 from a safe zone only to a depth of 90 km. The second is the expected appearance of F-16 fighters in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In response, the head of the Tactical Missiles Corporation Boris Obnosov, said that there is already a 310 km version of the missile, but given the further nature of the conversation, Shoigu was not satisfied with this answer.
Against the background of the Kh-59MK2 missile, there was also talk that the warhead of the unnamed missile had been increased from 450 kg to 800 kg. It is unlikely that they were talking about the Kh-59MK2 missile, because its warhead is declared at the level of 283-320 kg. At that time, if we talk about the products of MKB Raduga, the warhead weighing 450 kg is found on the Kh-101 cruise missile. Also in the conversation it was said that the cost of this unnamed missile was halved.

In addition, at the enterprise, Minister Shoigu was shown the new Kh-69 cruise missile, which is essentially a rebranding of the Kh-59MK2, which has a different layout. At the same time, the range of the X-69 is, according to the manufacturers, up to 290 km. But the talk about this missile did not satisfy Shoigu either, because he demanded that there be more missiles.
This conversation took place against the background of the unchanged demonstration stand, which is presented to all "high-ranking" guests of MKB Raduga. In particular, in February 2023, the same missiles were inspected by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the russian federation, Dmitriy Medvedev. The only thing that has changed is the number of transport containers for missiles, the purpose of which is currently unknown.
