The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to find quite "exclusive" and rare targets for themselves, and successfully destroy them with high-precision weapons such as HIMARS or 155 mm Excalibur shells, etc.

In particular, a photo of the destroyed P-18 radar station appeared on the Internet. It is known that this radar was destroyed in the Kherson region, it is not reported when exactly. According to some data from open sources, the system was hit by a high-precision GMLRS rocket that was fired from the HIMARS MLRS.

According to data from the Oryx portal, the P-18 radar is a rather rare target for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and there is one such destroyed radar so far.

The P-18 radar came in service back in 1971. This mobile 2D VHF surveillance radar station is designed to detect and track objects in the air and provide their coordinates.

In its "basic" version, the radar can detect targets at a distance of up to 60 km (altitude 500 meters) and up to 260 km (altitude 20-27 thousand m). In the upgraded version of the radar, this indicator increased to 320 km at an altitude of 20,000 m. The upgraded version can also register up to 500 targets in automatic mode and has a significantly improved resolution.
