Ukraine’s military took another rare sample of russian weapons as a trophy. The photo was published by the Ukraine Weapons Tracker Twitter account.

This is a very rare russian sniper rifle, which was developed specifically for the Federal Security Service of the russian federation (FSB) and is very rare even in their special forces.

This is a sniper special large-caliber rifle 6S8 Vykhlop, also known as VKS. It was developed by order of the center of special forces of the FSB of the russian federation, and was presented for the first time at the Interpolitech exhibition in 2005.

The purpose of this rifle is to damage lightly armored and unarmored vehicles and manpower protected by heavy body armor, at a range of up to 600 meters.

SC-130 12.7×55mm subsonic rounds are used, which penetrates a 16-mm steel plate at a distance of 200m or a bulletproof vest of the 5th protection class at a distance of 100 meters.
