Ukrainian forces also killed 47 Russian troops and destroyed two tanks, a Grad missile launcher, an anti-tank missile complex, and 16 armored vehicles on October 22. The situation in the operational zone on the Southern Bug axis has not changed significantly

That is according to a statement of Ukraine’s Operational Command South on its official page on Facebook.

“In response to three Russian helicopter airstrikes, Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters responded by shooting down one more enemy Alligator – the second during this combat day – and with five strikes by attack and army aircraft on areas of concentration of weapons and equipment, manpower and air defense systems. Missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine performed more than 200 fire missions on October 22. Estimated enemy losses include 47 personnel, two tanks, a Grad MLRS, an anti-tank missile system, 16 armored vehicles and four warehouses with ammunition in the Pervomaiske and Beryslav districts,” the report states.

According to the statement, enemy’s a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer and three more armored vehicles were damaged.

As the statement notes, the defense forces acting in the operational zone on the Southern Bug axis are holding the occupied borders. They also are carrying out stabilization measures in the liberated territories.

Ukraine’s Operational Command South states that russians are trying to maintain defense in conditions of limited logistics, demoralization of the military, evacuation of state institutions and management staff.

At the same time, the counter-battery confrontation continues along the contact line. Russia’s troops inflicts fire damage on positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, uses army aviation, multiple rocket systems, barrel artillery and mortars, including on nearby communities. The enemy continues to attack the rear areas with rocket strikes from the sky, kamikaze drones, rocket launchers and heavy artillery.

As the statement of Operational Command South reads, after massive attacks on critical infrastructure almost all over Ukraine, the enemy again shelled the Nikopol district. Ukrainian military states that the Chervonohryhorivka community came under MLRS fire. As a result, three civilians were injured, several private houses and commercial buildings were damaged.

As Defense Express reported, The USA Unexpectedly Deploy the 2nd Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division Near Border of Ukraine in Romania. The American military are acting close to Ukraine’s Armed Forces’ operational zone on the Southern Bug axis and as the representatives of the 2nd Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division states “they are fully prepared to cross the border into Ukraine”.

At the same time Russia Begins Using the X-101 Cruise Missiles Produced in the Second Quarter of 2022. The use of such fresh missiles indicates a real depletion of stocks and they immediately go to the troops from the production line.

Earler Ukrainian Armed Forces shared a drone video showing a Russian Kamov Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter being shot down.

According to the Oryx intelligence blog, russia has lost at least 23 Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters since Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
