russian private military company "Wagner" continues to report from the construction of a defense line. The first segment 1.5 km in length was erected in the Luhansk region on the occupied territory of Ukraine, and it is planned to expand to approx. 200 km.
It is supposed to stretch from the occupied Svitlodarsk, along the administrative border of Luhansk and Donetsk regions to Lysychansk, and further along the bank of Siverskyi Donets river to the city of Luhansk and the border with the russian federation.

However, it turns out that now such fortifications are built not only in the russian-occupied territories but in the Belgorod Oblast of russia, too. One of the militants of the PMC "Wagner" Andrey Bogatov told this to russian TV.
Although, unlike in the Luhansk region where the "wagnerovites" installed two rows of anti-tank concrete blocks and made an anti-tank ditch, in the Belgorod Oblast they only put some pyramids and that’s it.
Also, as we can see, the russians use civilian equipment and civilian contractors for the works. In particular, the name and phone number of the "Spets-City" company is clearly visible in one frame; this enterprise is located in Voronezh and provides special equipment for rent, including orange KamAZ vehicles like the one in the video.
Moreover, the stability of such a defense directly depends on its depth and echeloning. Even the anti-tank blocks, the so-called "dragon's teeth" in the West, require a concrete foundation underneath them.
Of course, even such a sloppy line of defense should not be underestimated, it can really undermine combat operations. But so far it seems that the creation of such lines of pyramids, especially in the Belgorod region, is more like the usual russian money laundering.
