What is in the reserves of a country that does not supply weapons to Ukraine due to neutrality

Switzerland takes a fairly clear position regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine: it maintains neutrality and has a rule not to provide weapons to countries at war, in particular, this country has repeatedly blocked the re-export of ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft systems from Germany.

However, if we imagine that one day Switzerland still decides to ignore this rule, what weapons could it share with the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that Ukraine would have more equipment for the war with russians?

The Military Balance 2022 guide will help to figure this out. And here it is worth saying right away that you can immediately forget about tanks: at least because the war in Ukraine made Switzerland think about the fact that it clearly lacks "heavy armor" and pushed it to search additional tanks. In total, this country has 134 Leopard 2 (Pz-87 Leo) tanks.

But the Armed Forces of Ukraine need not only tanks. Other armored vehicles are also absolutely necessary on the battlefield. And here in Switzerland there are reserves from which several dozen (or even more) vehicles could be allocated for Ukraine.

For example, 154 units of CV9030CH IFVs, although it is unlikely that Switzerland would decide to transfer these machines.

But from a fairly realistic position: several dozen M113A2 armored personnel carriers, as Switzerland has 311 such vehicles in various versions. There are also Piranha armored vehicles: there are as many as 924 units in Switzerland (by the way, Switzerland previously blocked the transfer of these vehicles to Ukraine from Denmark). Also, Eagle armored vehicles (441 units in Switzerland).

As for artillery, the Swiss army has 133 units of M109 KAWEST 155-mm self-propelled guns, as well as 222 units of 81-mm Mw-72 mortars. So, even some amount of this equipment could strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Swiss military is also armed with the FIM-92 Stinger man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems, 56 Rapier anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as 27 units of 35 mm GDF-003/-005 Skyguard systems.
