The Armed Forces of Ukraine at least damaged another russian Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft system. The hit was recorded directly from the driver’s cabin.
The footage shows the Pantsir-S1 system crew trying to escape, presumably from an FPV drone or another kamikaze drone. Towards the end of the video, the sound of the system’s 30 mm gun can be heard, followed by the moment of impact, which was also captured on camera.

The russians claim that the system was supposedly moving away from artillery shelling because it was operating “close to the front line”. Subsequently, Ukrainian drone started hunting the system, but the missiles couldn’t hit it, so it was grazed by a 30 mm projectile, resulting in a collision with the vehicle.
The current status of the Pantsir system’s operational capability remains unknown, despite the fact that russians claim that the system is back in service. There is a possibility that even a fragment could have potentially damaged critical components such as the radar.
Excluding this particular incident, the occupiers have already lost at least 17 of their Pantsir-S1 systems since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Out of these, 14 were destroyed, 1 was damaged, and 2 were captured as trophies.
Should be recalled that the russians have supposedly entered the “final stage of testing” their upgraded Pantsir-SM-SV system on a tracked chassis. According to the developers, the system has been allegedly improved based on the experience gained during the war against Ukraine, and it is now expected to be more effective in countering targets such as unmanned aerial vehicles.
