The innovative Ukrainian-made platform can traverse land and water, resist EW systems, and perform combat, logistical, and demining missions

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially announced the deployment of new UNEX UGV remotely controlled armored ground platform of Ukrainian production into service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This ground robotic system features unique amphibious capabilities and is designed to perform a wide range of combat and logistical tasks.

The UNEX UGV is built on a specialized chassis that ensures exceptional off-road mobility – across water, mud, sand, ice, and rough terrain. Thanks to its wide tires and optimal weight distribution, the pressure on the ground is lower than that of an infantry soldier, allowing the platform to avoid triggering anti-tank mines. During a demonstration, the amphibious vehicle drove over a ceramic plate and a coffee cup without breaking them.

The platform is equipped with a reliable radio control system, programmable autopilot, powerful batteries, and is resistant to electronic warfare systems. It can be produced in various configurations: with a combat module, electronic warfare systems, for logistics, evacuation, demining, and more.

According to Captain Valerii Churkin, Head of the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions, as Deputy Minister of Defence, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Ministry of Defense has codified and approved nearly 80 ground robotic systems developed in Ukraine, with around 15 introduced in 2025 alone. These platforms are actively used for assault and defense operations, reconnaissance, mining and demining, surveillance, logistics, and evacuation. The Armed Forces already have experience conducting military missions with the help of both ground robots and aerial drones.

As Defense Express previously reported, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified and approved the domestically produced Raroh-10 unmanned aerial system for use in the Armed Forces.

The Raroh-10 system includes FPV drones built on reinforced, lightweight carbon frames, allowing them to endure high-speed maneuvers and operate in demanding environments. Each drone is powered by high-performance electric motors and equipped with both day and night vision systems to ensure precise target engagement in all lighting conditions.
