The manufacturer already has an attack drone with a 1-kg payload capacity and is currently working on a modification able to carry three times heavier loads

There are many various explosive drones used by the armed forces of Ukraine against the russian invasion army, and many of them are of Ukrainian domestic manufacture. In a series of articles, ArmyInform tells about those developments.

One of the such unmanned aerial vehicles that Ukrainians use for pinpoint attacks is the KH-S7 quadcopter FPV drone. The creators shared how they created this device.

The project started more than a year ago, in summer 2022, when a group of enthusiasts, engineers, and military servicemen decided to create an attack role that could be mass-produced. Since then, the team went from draft design with yet unknown specifications to making them in batches.

The team's representative Vadym says only the best components supplied directly from world's top-class companies are used to assemble this drone.

The KH-S7 features the following specifications: explosive payload 1 kg, operating distance 7 km (4.3 miles) – although there were already real combat cases when this drone reached the target 9.5 km away.

Now the creators work on the next version of this FPV drone, the KH-S10. It will be capable of taking three times more weight, up to 3 kg and have a capability to either ram into target as suicide drone or drop the payload from above.

The KH-S7 is already used by the Ukrainian Army, and the reviews are good, the manufacturer claims. Foremostly, thanks to the simplicity of design and reliability.

"It is really a top-notch model we have here – from the ergonomics of the controller, propellers' power output to the overall quality of the system and many useful trivia that in summary result in increased range, maneuverability, battery endurance, capacity and hit accuracy. From time to time, the soldiers share with us videos they are allowed to show, and it becomes a very pleasing feedback to hear positive comments after our drone was used."

The company notes that their first creation was able to pass the state tests via the Ministry of Defense Accelerator – Ukrainian government's program introducing a simplified fast-track admission of newly invented military technologies into the Armed Force of Ukraine.

Earlier Defense Express covered another Ukrainian invention that got permission via the Accelerator, the AI-powered Saker Scout drone.
