A video has appeared on the network showing how operators of one of the Ukrainian FPV kamikaze drones attempted to shoot down a russian Ka-52 attack helicopter. The Ptakhy Madiara unit was the author of this attack and video.
To begin with, the FPV drone’s attempt to target the russian Ka-52 helicopter seemed more like a spontaneous decision by the UAV operators. They clearly didn’t anticipate encountering such a substantial enemy aircraft within their operational area.

Consequently, they had to launch the attack from a lateral angle rather than a head-on approach, giving the enemy helicopters a chance to evade the strike.

In addition, it should be noted that the potential range of FPV kamikaze drones often surpasses 10 kilometers, which is notably longer than the effective range of air defense systems.
As a result, with potential enhancements in design or tactical strategies, there is a possibility that in future instances, the kamikaze drones could effectively engage and neutralize Ka-52 helicopters, which are particularly dangerous to Ukrainian military personnel.
