Warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed another latest model of military equipment that the Russian army was trying to equip with - the modernized BMP-1AM Basurmanin. It is noted that this car was destroyed during the attack on the crossing, which the occupiers tried to organize across the river in Luhansk region.

Another enemy's amphibious engineering vehicle was also destroyed.
It should be noted that the BMP-1AM is BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle with the original turret replaced by the turret from BTR-82A with a 2A72 30 mm autocannon, a Kalashnikov PKTM 7.62 mm medium machinegun, and 902V Tucha smoke grenade launchers.
Earlier, Defense Express reported that the enemy had transferred these vehicles from the Far East to Kupyansk. And we must note that this is a new car for the Russian army.
In general, the first public demonstration of BMP-1AM "Basurmanin" took place in 2018, but the first transfer of a significant number of cars became known only on February 2, 2022. The Russian army had a plan to upgrade all of their BMP-1s and BMP-1Ps to BMP-1AM level.
