The Polish company Mista is working on new versions of the Oncilla armored personnel carrier. A representative of the Ukrainian Design Bureau "Beryl", which is a technological partner of the Polish company Mista, told about this in a comment to Defense Express. Details regarding the specific modifications of the vehicle are not disclosed in the Design Bureau "Beryl", but it is known that the design bureau is currently working on a floating version of this vehicle. As noted in the Design Bureau "Beryl", "significant deliveries" of these armored personnel carriers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine are planned for this year.

Earlier, the representatives of the Design Bureau "Beryl" talked about the mass serial production of the Oncilla APCs. In addition, it is known that work is currently underway to establish cooperation with Ukrainian manufacturers. But at the moment, the developers of the Oncilla armored personnel carrier and its modifications do not disclose any details about the work that is currently being carried out, considering the issue of ensuring production safety.
In addition, work is currently underway to expand repair capabilities directly in Ukraine. Previously, the Beryl Design Bureau told Defense Express that usually damaged vehicles return to the battlefield in about a month, and overhaul of vehicles is carried out in Poland at the Mista plant.

Oncilla armored personnel carriers are currently actively used by the Defense Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield. In particular, recently the press service of the Liut Brigade, that is united assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine, published a video with this vehicle. In this video, the Ukrainian military highlights the strengths of the Oncilla armored personnel carrier.

"The main advantages of the armored vehicle are its high maneuverability and speed. It can easily travel on difficult roads and off-road, which provides it with high mobility on the battlefield," said the representative of the brigade, noting the high passability of this vehicle as well as its mobility in general.
The military reminds that the vehicle is equipped with a thermal imager, which helps to "continuously destroy the occupiers." It is also worth noting that the vehicle interface has a picture-in-picture mode, when, for example, an enlarged image is superimposed on a wide-angle view or an optical channel is combined with a thermal spectrum, and this is displayed much faster than even a simple switch between the operating modes of the surveillance device.

It will be recalled that earlier Defense Express published footage of one of the Oncilla armored personnel carriers that blew up on an anti-tank mine — despite the damage to the vehicle itself, the crew remained alive and combat-ready.
