The same Ukrainian army unit a few days ago reported having shot out of the air an Orlan-10 drone, which is a lower-end predecessor to the Orlan-30

Servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 24th King Danylo Brigade have downed Russia’s advanced Orlan-30 drone, the Brigade reported on Facebook.

The drone crash-landed as a result of an electronic jamming attack, the report says.

The Orlan-30 -- a recent modification to the Orlan-10 UAV technology that has been extensively deployed by Russian forces in Ukraine -- has a take-off mass of 27 kg, including a 8-kg payload.

The downed Russian drone was found out to be equipped with a household water tank modified for use as a fuel tank.

Russia’s advanced Orion UCAV drone was shout out of the sky by the Ukrainian Air Force on April 7, as reported before by Defense Express. The Orion was the first of these drones lost by Russian Forces in Ukraine.

As Defense Express reported, russian advanced Orion UAV was shot down in Ukraine earlier. It was the first enemy’s loss of this kind of UAV.
