The new model surpasses earlier versions in both range and combat utility

On December 26, 2024, russia’s Kalashnikov defense company revealed successful maiden flight of its latest KUB-10E loitering munition. This development marks a departure from the flying wing design of earlier models, with new version adopting a conventional aircraft configuration. The munition saw its first deployment in Kursk region on January 2, according to russian media.

The KUB-10E UAV is designed for precision strikes and rapid deployment. According to the manufacturer, its flight range and combat capabilities significantly surpass those of previous drones in the series. Key features include a cruising speed of up to 100 km/h, an operational altitude range of 100 to 2,500 meters, and a catapult launch system.

The munition uses pre-programmed coordinates and global navigation satellite data for accurate target identification and strike execution. Its catapult launch system allows for quick deployment, enhancing its versatility in various operational scenarios.
