Officially: Slovakia to Provide Ukraine with S-300 Air-Defence System

Slovakia officially provided Ukraine with long range surface-to-air missile system S-300 (NATO reporting name SA-10 Grumble) to fight against Russian invaders

The Prime Minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger stated in Twitter the following:

Also, there are already videos of the S-300 systems being transferred by railway to Ukraine.

Defense Express states, that negotiations about transferring full-fledged air defense systems have intensified in late March. At that time US Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Celeste Wallander informed, that negotiations were being conducted with a number of countries, which have well-known to Ukrainian servicemen air defense systems to be immediately used in the battlefield against russia.

Defense Express memo: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy repeatedly urged international partners to provide long-range air defense systems. In March, Slovakia preliminarily agreed to supply "S-300" in exchange for American "Patriot" as a substitute.
