The developer of the TigerShark cruise missile is MGI Engineering, which is creating it in cooperation with Auterion, and both companies have collaborated with Ukraine or at least reported such cooperation

The TigerShark unmanned strike platform has completed its first flight, according to an official press release from its developer, MGI Engineering. The company emphasized that "this achievement marks the first successful test of a new system of this class in Europe in over a decade." The system was developed in close cooperation with Auterion, a company specializing in software solutions.

Mike Gascoyne, CEO of MGI Engineering, commented on the milestone, noting that, together with Auterion, they are developing a solution that meets current operational needs while anticipating future challenges. He also highlighted that the project reflects an engineering approach focused on speed, flexibility, and mission-oriented execution.

MGI Engineering positions TigerShark as an unmanned strike platform, promoting it as a system of a new class. In practical terms, however, it closely resembles a conventional cruise missile.

The system appears to be a relatively low-cost yet capable solution. According to stated specifications, TigerShark can reach speeds of up to 750 km/h, strike targets at ranges exceeding 1,000 km, and carry a substantial warhead of up to 300 kg.

Its price is also notable. The company previously indicated a unit cost of approximately $549,000. For comparison, modern compact cruise missiles of a similar class, such as Barracuda, are typically priced in the same range but carry significantly smaller warheads and offer shorter ranges.

The missile uses the Skynode-N flight controller developed by Auterion. It is worth noting that Auterion's products are already supplied to Ukraine, including the Skynode S AI-based machine vision system for drones, which has demonstrated effectiveness in combat.

It was also previously reported that MGI Engineering planned to supply its SkyShark drones to Ukraine and expressed readiness for localization.

The SkyShark is a mid-range strike drone with a range of up to 250 km, a payload of up to 20 kg, and a top speed of around 450 km/h, achieved using two miniature jet engines.

As of now, it remains unclear whether Ukraine has received these drones. However, if SkyShark systems are delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the company may also seek to test its TigerShark system in real combat conditions. For Ukraine, this would expand the range of available strike capabilities against russia.
