The Arhont is a new electronic warfare solution that is already used to track down russian radars and other targets for elimination

The newest Arhont electronic intelligence station from the Ukrainian company Infozahyst has been presented today, February 17, on the first day of the IDEX 2025 international arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UAE. It's the first time the appearance and specifications of this ELINT complex are being displayed to the public, albeit in a miniature scale model and a few visuals demonstrated at a shared booth with Ukrainian state-owned export intermediary company Ukrspecexport.

Arhont can detect, analyze, identify, classify the electromagnetic radiation from enemy equipment and, when combined with several other stations in a single system, to determine the exact location of the enemy. Any of the units operating in a single network can play the role of the command center.

In layman's terms, Arhont can detect aircraft, helicopters, drones, maritime radars, air defense systems, electronic warfare equipment, and more. Arhont only passively listens to the radio wave frequencies in the area without emitting any signals of its own which makes it undetectable to hostile ELINT. As noted by Infozahyst, all the software used in Arhont was developed in Ukraine and integrates elements of artificial intelligence.

The first appearance of Arhont dates back to September 2024 but little was disclosed besides the fact of its existence. According to the specifications that were finally announced at IDEX 2025, Archont can record enemy activity in radio spectrum at distances up to 400 km, search for emissions in the operating frequency range from 0.5 to 18 GHz in the mode, and analyze them in bandwidth up to 400 MHz. The maximum bearing error when showing the direction to the target is less than 1 degree, and location accuracy in the network configuration does not exceed 1.5% of the distance to the target.

The manufacturer offers three Arhont versions: the ultra-portable one, a portable device on a tripod, and a fully-featured system unfolded in a car trailer. All variants have a remote control function and, as can be seen in the photo of the model, remote operation is powered by Starlink satellite communication, so it has no range limits.

The company has previously reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces already use one of the Arhont variants for combat operations. In October 2024, the system was utilized to detect russian air defense assets, and not just the powerful radars of S-300/S-400 missile systems but also less conspicuous radiation from Tor short-range SAM systems, a number of ground-based threats and aircraft.
