The Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed more than 9,000 units of russian weapons and military equipment – just the ones confirmed by photo and video data. Over the last week, there were some rare and interesting pieces lost by the russians, and Defense Express gathered them all in one article.

"Arctic" Air Defense Systems

The russian invaders have got not as many "arctic" 9A331MDT "Tor-M2DT" surface-to-air missile systems at their disposal, and Ukrainian high-precision M982 Excalibur artillery shells have a knack for bringing them down. Compared to the standard "Tor-M2", this one is based on the DT-30PM chassis, consists of two interlinked tracked vehicles, and is specialized for harsh climate conditions, particularly to operate in the Arctic.

As of 2020, russian armed forces only had 12 air defense systems of this type, and two of them have already been destroyed in Ukraine over the course of three days. The first time this system was spotted in Ukraine was in December 2022. In a separate article, you can find out how the first one ended up destroyed, and here's the video with the second:

GAZ-3937 "Vodnik"

Another interesting trophy of the Ukrainian soldiers was made public by a Ukrainian military and political analyst Oleksandr Kovalenko. The photo he shared depicted a GAZ-3937 "Vodnik", an automobile for the transportation of personnel and cargo with amphibious capability.

The vehicle can carry 10 to 11 passengers or 1,500–2,500 kg of cargo with a total mass of 6,600–7,500 kg when stuffed. Its road speed is 120 km/h and the operational range is 700–1,000 km.

According to open source data, only 54 vehicles of this type were delivered to the russian ministry of internal affairs, and since 2005 they've been produced for the ministry of defense as well.

MT-LB with an Unusual Gun

This trophy was captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Vuhledar: an MT-LB armored multipurpose vehicle equipped with a 2M-7 module with twin 14.5mm KPV machine guns.

The module is primarily used for the armament of patrol boats and trawlers.

Rare EW/SIGINT System

In the photo below, there is the russian RB-341V "Leer-3" electronic warfare and intelligence complex seized by Ukrainian forces. This system is a rare one, since the start of its production in 2015, only a limited quantity has been made. In fact, this system was first spotted in Ukraine before the russian all-out invasion in 2018 during the fighting between russian and Ukrainian forces in Donbas.
