Fiber-optic FPV drones actively used on battlefield by both Ukrainian and russian military and long ceased to be news

American defense company Neros Technologies jointly with Israeli defense startup Kela Technologies created a fiber-optic FPV drone, which is the world's first fiber-optic drone that fully complies with requirements of the U.S. National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Such wording sounds somewhat strange, but the thing is that in this drone, no critical component is manufactured by China, which is an important step forward in the American strategy of military dronization. This is reported by BusinessWire.

It's stated that "Archer Fiber technology is already implemented with initial partners" and that companies are ready to accept orders for supply next year, not least thanks to the fact that Neros is actively expanding its production capacity.

It's worth noting that both American Neros and Israeli Kela are quite young defense startups, founded in 2023 and 2024 respectively.Which, however, is quite typical today for drone manufacturers given the worldwide "boom" for this armament.

Moreover, it's worth noting that Neros actively supplies its products to Ukraine's Defense Forces, and this concerns the same Archer, on the basis of which the fiber-optic drone was created.

By the way, it's not excluded that the fiber-optic version is also already being tested or will be tested in Ukraine directly on the front line.

Yes, earlier within the drone coalition project, the company received a contract to supply 6,000 Archer-type FPV drones to Ukraine within six months, becoming the largest American drone supplier to Ukraine within this program.

At the same time, the companys plans to increase drone production by the end of this year to 10,000 per month were announced, and later reach a figure of one million per year with the main order in the form of the American military.
