The Kryma group from Ukraine's 14th UAV Regiment eliminated rare North Korean SPG and six russian troops

The Kryma reconnaissance group from the 14th Separate UAV Regiment successfully located and coordinated the HIMARS strike on North Korean-made Koksan self-propelled gun, resulting in its complete destruction. The strike also eliminated six russian crew members operating the artillery system. The operation was conducted as part of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to dismantle enemy firepower on the most contested front lines.

The 14th Separate UAV Regiment played a pivotal role in reducing the offensive capabilities of the russian military. Operating in high-risk zones, the Kryma group carried out aerial surveillance that pinpointed the exact coordinates of the enemy asset, enabling a precise HIMARS missile strike.

The destroyed artillery system is reported to be North Korean Koksan M-1978, a 170 mm self-propelled gun with one of the longest ranges among towed or self-propelled artillery systems. Its presence on the battlefield raises significant questions about the extent of Pyongyang's covert arms supply to russia, a subject already under international scrutiny.

Ukrainian strike triggered a secondary detonation of the Koksan system onboard ammunition, ensuring the system was fully neutralized. Footage or imagery of the aftermath has not yet been released, but the 14th Regiment confirmed the complete elimination of both the hardware and its six-person crew.

This development highlights the increasing role of drone reconnaissance in modern warfare. By integrating unmanned aerial surveillance with Western precision weaponry like the HIMARS, Ukrainian forces are optimizing limited resources to deliver devastating results on high-value targets.

Moreover, the use of North Korean system by russian forces underlines the expanding network of pariah state cooperation. Previous reports have indicated the transfer of ammunition and possibly other military equipment from North Korea to russia, circumventing UN sanctions in the process.

"Our forces leave the enemy no chance," the 14th UAV Regiment concluded in their post, emphasizing Ukraine's continued commitment to disrupting russian logistics and artillery dominance with coordinated drone-guided strikes.
