The Defense Forces of Ukraine has shot down a russian Su-34 aircraft that was carrying out terrorist attacks on Zaporizhia region of Ukraine

In the Zaporizhia direction, the Ukrainian military managed to shoot down a russian Su-34 twin-engine, twin-seat, all-weather supersonic medium-range fighter-bomber/strike aircraft (NATO reporting name: Fullback). It participated in enemy attacks on the regional center and the region.

This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Command shared the details that are known at this time.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force Command, at approximately 04:00 on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Ukrainian forces shot down a russian Su-34 aircraft that was carrying out terrorist attacks on Zaporizhia using guided aerial bombs.

“An enemy Su-34 was shot down,” the message says.

This information was also published on the official page of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in X.

Currently, no additional information regarding the shooting down of an enemy aircraft is provided.

For reference. The Su-34 is a a Soviet-origin russian fighter-bomber designed for precision strikes on ground targets in tactical depth as well as combat against air targets. It can carry a large arsenal of aerial bombs, as well as air-to-air missiles.
