Ukrainian Special Operations Forces have conducted a series of high-precision strikes against russian military infrastructure in temporarily occupied territories, targeting several key radar systems in Crimea and a command post in Donetsk region. The operation was carried out by the Middle-strike units of Ukraine's SOF, with footage of the attacks released by the command of the Special Operations Forces.
According to the official statement, the strikes resulted in the destruction of multiple russian radar systems critical for airspace monitoring. Among the confirmed targets were the 5N84A Oborona-14 radar and the Nebo-U radar, both designed for long-range detection of aerial targets. In addition, two radar stations located inside a protective radome in temporarily occupied Yevpatoria were also destroyed.

The radome structure is typically used to protect radar antennas from environmental factors while allowing them to rotate freely and operate in any direction. By concealing the orientation of the antenna, such structures help prevent adversaries from easily determining the radar's operating parameters or direction of coverage.
The destruction of these systems represents a notable blow to russia's air-surveillance network in Crimea. Long-range radars like Oborona-14 and Nebo-U are used to detect aircraft, cruise missiles, and other airborne threats at extended distances, providing early warning for air defense systems deployed across the peninsula.
Striking these units can degrade the overall effectiveness of russian air defense by reducing situational awareness. Without reliable radar coverage, air defense units face greater difficulty tracking targets and coordinating responses, potentially creating gaps in the layered defense architecture protecting russian military facilities in Crimea.
In the same operation, Ukrainian forces also struck an element of russian command post belonging to a naval infantry brigade located in the occupied settlement of Zachativka in Donetsk region. Damage to command infrastructure can disrupt operational control, communications, and coordination of frontline units.
