Before dawn on October 26, 2025, a powerful explosion rocked a railway line between the temporarily occupied settlements of Chernihivka and Stulneve in the Berdiansk district of Zaporizhzhia region. The blast, the result of a special operation carried out by Ukraineєs resistance forces, sent a russian military supply train off the tracks, dealing a significant blow to the enemy's frontline logistics.
According to reports from the resistance movement, the targeted train was carrying a large volume of military cargo intended for russian units operating along the southern front. The derailment completely destroyed several rail platforms and wagons, scattering wreckage and munitions across the area. Eyewitnesses from nearby villages reportedly saw heavy smoke rising for hours after the explosion.

The operation was not limited to the destruction of the train itself. Approximately 70 meters of railway track were heavily damaged, rendering the section impassable for any subsequent military or supply movement. Repair work, if attempted by russian forces, will likely require substantial engineering resources and expose logistics crews to further partisan attacks.
At least one locomotive overturned, three railway platforms twisted off the rails, and nine freight wagons derailed or destroyed. The intensity of the blast suggests the use of pre-planted explosives designed to detonate beneath the moving train at a precise moment, a method increasingly common in resistance sabotage actions deep inside temporarily occupied territory.
As Defense Express previously reported, operators of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade of Ukraine have successfully located and destroyed rare Soviet-made Grad-P single-tube rocket launcher, eliminating the system along with its ammunition stockpile.
The strike, executed with a precision FPV drone, demonstrates Ukraine's growing ability to neutralize concealed enemy artillery assets before they can inflict damage.
