russian invaders suffered serious losses in the sky over Sumy region – Ukrainian warriors has destroyed the Forpost UAV, which is manufactured in russia as a licensed modification of the Israeli IAI Searcher UAV

In the sky over Sumy region, antiaircrafters of the 80th Air Assault Brigade "Halychyna" of the 8th corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces destroyed the russian Forpost reconnaissance UAV worth $7.5 million.

This was reported by the press office the 80th Air Assault Brigade on Facebook and a video was released.

"The anti-aircraft droners of the 80th Air Assault Brigade "Halychyna" of the 8th corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces know how to turn an expensive and scarce russian reconnaissance UAV into a pile of scrap metal. They effectively defend the Sumy region not only on the ground, but also in the sky," the report says.

The other day, the paratroopers discovered the enemy Forpost UAV, which was conducting reconnaissance of the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the sky. The drone was immediately destroyed.

The downed Forpost UAV is already the second on the account of the antiaircrafters of the 80th brigade. The first aircraft was also shot down by the Galician paratroopers in the Sumy region, in the summer of 2025.

The Forpost UAV is a drone developed on the basis of the Israeli IAI Searcher. It can climb 7 kilometers and cover distances of up to 250 kilometers.
