Ukrainian artillerymen detected North Korean Type-75 multiple rocket launcher deployed by russian forces and destroyed it with a strike drone

Ukraine's 40th Brigade has destroyed rare North Korean Type-75 multiple rocket launcher deployed by russian forces.

The brigade released footage showing the launcher being detected and subsequently hit by Ukrainian strike drone. The UAV appears to have struck the Type-75 system directly, bringing its use on the battlefield to an end.

The system is an unusual addition to russia's arsenal in Ukraine. While russian forces have increasingly relied on equipment supplied by foreign partners, North Korean artillery systems remain relatively uncommon in frontline footage.

The Type-75 is a 12-tube multiple rocket launcher designed to deliver a salvo of unguided rockets. According to the 40th Brigade, each rocket weighs approximately 18 kg, including around 1.5 kg of explosive material in its warhead.

The launcher's 12 launch rails allow it to fire a concentrated volley against an area target. However, its effectiveness depends heavily on remaining concealed and avoiding detection before and after firing.

In this case, Ukrainian surveillance located the vehicle and enabled a precision strike against it. The footage shows the drone reaching the launcher and hitting the system.
