Units of the Lasar's Group from Ukraine's National Guard have destroyed russian BM-27 Uragan multiple launch rocket system on the Zaporizhzhia axis. The operation eliminated a key enemy asset that had been actively firing on the city of Zaporizhzhia and its civilian infrastructure.
The strike was carried out within the area of responsibility of the 17th Army Corps, in coordination with the LUFTWAFFE 422nd Battalion and the 104th Unmanned Systems Center. The joint nature of the operation highlights the growing integration of drone units across Ukrainian forces.

The destroyed BM-27 Uragan system had been repeatedly used to shell civilian targets. The Lasar's Group had been tracking the system for several months, conducting persistent surveillance in order to locate and confirm the launcher's position.
The operation was the result of careful planning and sustained reconnaissance. Once the target was identified, Ukrainian forces launched a coordinated strike to ensure its complete destruction and prevent further use against civilian areas.
Both heavy strike drones operated by the Lasar's Group and FPV drones were used during the attack. Aerial reconnaissance crews provided real-time intelligence and battle damage assessment, enabling precise engagement of the target.
After the initial strikes immobilized the MLRS, adjacent Ukrainian units joined the operation to complete the destruction. This multi-layered approach ensured the launcher could not be recovered or repaired by russian forces.
Video footage released by Ukrainian units shows the successful engagement and subsequent detonation of the BM-27 Uragan system, confirming the total loss of the system. The footage underscores the effectiveness of coordinated drone warfare against high-value artillery assets.
As Defense Express previously reported, pilots from the Asgard Battalion of Ukraine's Nemesis 412th Brigade have successfully destroyed two russian Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile systems, with a combined estimated value of around $50 million. The operation highlights the growing effectiveness of Ukraine's precision long-range strikes against high-value enemy assets.
