Operators from the Prime UAV unit of the 5th Border Guard Detachment have conducted a successful strike against russian positions on the Northern Slobozhansk axis, destroying a range of enemy assets.
On January 16, video footage shows the detection and subsequent destruction of the 120-mm mortar, along with associated transport vehicles, communications equipment, enemy field fortifications, and a logistics supply depot used to support russian operations in the area.

The operation was carried out using unmanned aerial systems, highlighting the growing role of UAV reconnaissance and strike capabilities within Ukraine's border guard units. The ability to locate and neutralize indirect fire systems such as mortars is particularly significant, as these weapons pose a persistent threat to both frontline positions and nearby civilian areas.
In addition to equipment losses, the border guards reported casualties among russian personnel, though no figures were disclosed. The combination of matériel and manpower losses suggests a deliberate effort to degrade the enemy's combat sustainability rather than conducting a single, isolated strike.
As Defense Express previously reported, special operations units of the Defense Intelligence continue systematic combat operations along the front line, combining firepower, unmanned systems, and precise coordination.
The footage documents the unit's combat activity throughout January, showcasing a wide range of integrated strike capabilities.
