Major fire erupts after overnight attack

Following an operation conducted by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine during the night of May 1 using drones within the russian federation’s territory, the Ryazan Oil Refinery suffered an impact.

Witnesses recounted that the initial four explosions occurred on the factory grounds around 2:00 am, leading to a significant blaze on the refinery’s premises. Concurrently, local emergency services issued alerts regarding a drone threat. Pavel Malkov, the regional governor, verified the drone attack in the Ryazan area.

Furthermore, individuals on social media noted drone sightings in Voronezh region’s skies. Correspondingly, reports emerged of heightened air defense system activity, alongside media citing structural damages in Voronezh purportedly caused by the interception of an airplane-type drone.
