Ukrainian drone operators from the Martlet Unmanned Systems Battalion have destroyed russian Uragan multiple launch rocket system. The strike marks another successful precision operation by Ukraine's rapidly evolving drone forces, which continue to target high-value russian assets on the southern front.
The footage of the strike, released by the South Operational Command, shows russian Uragan system attempting to change its firing position, a standard maneuver aimed at avoiding counter-battery fire or drone tracking. However, the system was detected and pursued by Ukrainian operators before it could reach cover.

As the vehicle moved across the position, Ukrainian drone closed in and delivered a precise strike on the launcher. The hit triggered a powerful secondary explosion, indicating the detonation of the Uragan system's onboard ammunition load.
The resulting blast completely destroyed the MLRS along with its crew. Given the destructive power and operational importance of the Uragan system, the loss is a significant setback for russian artillery capability in the sector.
The Uragan, a 220 mm heavy rocket artillery system, is used by russian forces to strike Ukrainian positions, logistics nodes, and civilian areas. Its destruction not only removes a dangerous weapon from the battlefield but also disrupts russia's ability to conduct area-saturation attacks in this part of the front.
As Defense Express previously reported, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine continues to dismantle russian air defense capabilities on the Donbas front, as the elite Primary special unit expands its recent series of precision drone strikes.
Over the past two weeks, the group has successfully targeted and destroyed several high-value components of russia's layered air defense network, demonstrating both growing Ukrainian strike capability and ongoing russian vulnerability.
