Ukrainian mountain infantry repelled enemy attack with precise artillery and drone strikes

Fighters from the 2nd Mountain Assault Battalion of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade have successfully repelled an enemy attack, destroying three IFVs and three ATVs during the operation. A video published on the battalion’s official channel detailed the engagement, highlighting the effectiveness of combined artillery and drone strikes.

According to the report, the enemy attempted to advance using the BMD-4 amphibious IFVs and ATVs. However, the assault was quickly thwarted as Ukrainian forces countered with precise artillery fire and drone support. The video confirms the loss of three BMD-4 vehicles, severely damaged in the exchange, and three ATVs. In addition, two enemy paratroopers were confirmed killed, with six others wounded, though unofficial figures suggest additional casualties may have occurred.

The assault left Ukrainian positions intact, underscoring the battalion’s preparedness and resilience.

“Thanks to everyone who supports us, we keep working!” the battalion stated, reaffirming their commitment to defending their territory. This engagement serves as a testament to the brigade’s operational capability and tactical coordination in the face of ongoing conflict.
