Ukrainian Air Force Named the Number of Missiles That Were Destroyed During russin Attack on July 27

The Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, announced the results of Ukrainian air defence on July 26

According to his Telegram post on July 26 , Ukraine's air defence destroyed 36 air targets, including 3 Kalibr cruise missiles and 33 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles.

At the everning July 26, air-raid warnings have been issued in Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine because of Russian cruise missiles flying from the north. According to the Ukraine's Air Force, it was sea- and land-based cruise missiles were launched from the Black Sea, and ballistic missiles were launched from the territory of the russia and temporarily occupied territories.

According to the Yurii Ihnat, spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian cruise missiles that were launched on Ukraine on Wednesday evening, in particular, were targeted on Starokostiantyniv, Khmelnytskyi Oblast.

There is a military airfield in Starokostiantyniv that hosts Ukrainian Su-24M tactical bombers. These aircraft serve as carriers of the Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

Ihnat said the missiles were fired from the Caspian Sea and flew into Ukraine from the southeast, then their movement went as follows:

- first, the missiles were directed at Kharkiv Oblast, changing course soon after;

- consequently, they flew towards Dnipro;

- then to Kirovohrad Oblast;

- then their movement was recorded between Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv and Odesa oblasts;

- then they headed towards Ternopil and Lviv oblasts, where they turned back 180 degrees;

- eventually, they diverted towards Starokostiantyniv in Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
