Operators of the Perun Unmanned Systems Battalion repelled a large-scale enemy assault involving heavy equipment, according to an official report released on December 17.
Video footage published on the Battalion's channel shows coordinated drone strikes carried out during the engagement. The attack was conducted in cooperation with adjacent friendly units, indicating a combined defensive effort rather than an isolated action.

The enemy assault relied on armored vehicles and mobile platforms, suggesting an attempt to break through Ukrainian defensive positions using speed and firepower. Such attacks typically aim to overwhelm defenses before precision weapons can be brought to bear.
According to the Battalion, Ukrainian drone operators successfully engaged multiple targets during the battle. Confirmed losses included two tanks, five armored fighting vehicles, and two quad bikes, as well as four enemy personnel.
The operation highlights the growing effectiveness of unmanned aerial systems in countering mechanized assaults. FPV and other strike drones allow Ukrainian forces to rapidly identify, track, and neutralize armored targets at a fraction of the cost of traditional anti-tank systems.
As Defense Express previously reported, during the night of December 17, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces carried out a precision strike against a field artillery ammunition depot belonging to russia's 101st Separate Logistics Brigade of the 51st Combined Arms Army. The target was located in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region.
