Valerii Riabykh, a military expert and the development director of Defense Express, highlighted that air defense capabilities in major Ukrainian cities have become increasingly effective at countering russia's complex aerial threats

Speaking on the Espreso TV channel, Riabykh revealed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had made significant strides in intercepting ballistic and hypersonic missiles. He pointed out that in October, only 8% of such missiles were intercepted by Ukraine's air defense systems, but by November, that figure had risen to over 40%.

Riabykh also credited Ukraine's international partners for fulfilling their commitments by providing additional air defense systems, including Patriot, SAMP/T, NASAMS, IRIS-T, and Hawk systems.

The military expert also added that there is an increase in the ability of air defenses in large cities, except for Kyiv, to effectively counter complex enemy air threats.

"This explains the increase in the rate at which russian ballistic and hypersonic missiles are being downed," Riabykh explained.
