"Of course, we are always looking for ways to solve these problems. Planning combat operations is a rather lengthy process… Submarines are a more difficult target than, a surface ship of course, but it should be remembered that the Azov-Black Sea area is actually a closed area, submarines cannot stay underwater all the time, so of course we will continue to look for ways to counteract," Pletenchuk said.
According to spokesman, russian Black Sea Fleet included six submarines, two of them remained outside the water area and cannot return due to the closed Bosporus, and one, which is Rostov-na-Donu, was destroyed.
"Therefore, they have three submarine cruise missile carriers as of now. However, this is a war of technology, military thought, strategy and tactics. And Ukraine has already shown that it is strong in all these aspects. We will continue to work," said the Ukrainian Navy spokesman.
Earlier Defense Express reported that destruction of russian Novocherkassk ship had blocked one of logistic channels to Crimea.
