Ukrainian forces continue exposing North Korea's covert arms supplies to russia, this time destroying the Type-75 107 mm MLRS on the Kupiansk axis

Ukrainian National Guard drone operators from the Kara-Dag 15th Brigade have successfully identified and destroyed a multiple launch rocket system supplied to russian forces by North Korea. The footage of the strike, released by the brigade, provides another piece of evidence confirming Pyongyang's growing role in arming Moscow's war against Ukraine.

According to the Brigade's report, the destroyed system was the Type-75 107 mm MLRS, a North Korean-licensed copy of China's Type-63 launcher. This relatively small but mobile weapon is designed to strike targets at ranges of up to 8.5 kilometers, making it a useful tool for harassment and fire support near the front line.

Despite its limited range, such systems remain dangerous when employed against infantry positions or logistics nodes.

The Type-75 MLRS can be deployed in several configurations. In its basic towed form, it features 12 launch tubes, while self-propelled or naval versions may carry 16, 24, or even 27 tubes. The system typically fires two types of unguided 107 mm rockets, allowing a mix of high-explosive and fragmentation warheads depending on mission needs.

By neutralizing this launcher, the Kara-Dag Brigade's UAV unit effectively removed a source of indirect fire that could have endangered Ukrainian forward positions on the Kupiansk front. The precision strike underscores the growing sophistication of Ukraine's drone reconnaissance and strike capabilities, which now enable the detection and destruction of targets deep behind enemy lines.

As Defense Express previously reported, russian forces have introduced a new and alarming tactic in their ongoing attacks on Ukraine's Sumy region. According to Serhii Flash, russian troops have begun attaching two containers filled with anti-tank mines under the wings of the Shahed-type kamikaze drones.

Several such cases were recorded over the past day, signaling a dangerous escalation in the use of modified loitering munitions against both military and civilian targets.
