Ukraine's National Guard has reported a successful deep-strike operation targeting russian heavy weaponry in the rear areas of Luhansk region. The operation was carried out by the Lasar's Group, which struck 13 pieces of military equipment hidden far behind the line of battle contact.
According to the report, the enemy assets were concealed deep in the rear, likely in an effort to shield them from Ukrainian counter-battery fire and drone surveillance. Despite this, Ukrainian forces were able to locate and conduct precise strikes against the targets as part of a carefully coordinated special operation.

Among the destroyed systems were three 2S7 Pion self-propelled artillery systems. The 2S7 Pion is a 203-mm heavy artillery platform capable of firing high-explosive and specialized munitions at long range. Its destruction represents a significant reduction in russia's ability to conduct long-distance bombardment of Ukrainian positions.
The unit also eliminated one TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system, along with its associated transport-loading vehicle. TOS-1A system is designed to fire thermobaric rockets, creating devastating blast effects against fortified positions and urban areas. Neutralizing such a system reduces the threat of high-casualty strikes against defensive lines and frontline settlements.
In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed a command and staff vehicle, which plays a critical role in coordinating artillery and maneuver units. The loss of command infrastructure can disrupt battlefield communication and degrade operational control, compounding the impact of hardware losses.
Seven armored combat vehicles were also struck during the operation. While the report does not specify the exact models, such vehicles are typically used to transport troops, provide fire support, or reinforce defensive positions. Their destruction further weakens the logistical and tactical flexibility of russian forces in the sector.
As Defense Express previously reported, operators from Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces have reportedly destroyed russian short-range air defense system in Donetsk region, targeting a mobile 9K33 Osa surface-to-air missile system. The strike was carried out by drone pilots of the Nemesis 412th Brigade as part of ongoing efforts to degrade russian battlefield air defenses.
