The Special Operations Forces carried out a coordinated night attack on December 8, striking russian UAV warehouse in Donetsk and massive fuel storage site in Luhansk

Ukraine's Special Operations Forces conducted a series of successful drone strikes against russian military infrastructure in temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions during the night of December 8. The operations were confirmed by the SOF Command on the morning of December 9.

According to the official report, Ukrainian strike UAVs targeted two high-value enemy facilities that played a key role in russia's reconnaissance, strike capabilities, and logistics. The attacks were part of ongoing efforts to degrade the offensive potential of russian forces on the eastern front.

In Donetsk, Ukrainian drones struck a storage facility belonging to one of russia's brigades, where a large number of tactical-level reconnaissance and strike UAVs were kept. The depot reportedly contained both assembled drones and spare combat payloads, making it a critical component of russia's drone warfare operations.

The destruction of enemy UAV stocks is expected to significantly limit russian capability to conduct aerial reconnaissance and precision strikes in the area. The SOF noted that targeting such depots has become a strategic priority due to the increasing dependence of russian units on drones.

In temporarily occupied part of Luhansk region, the operators struck another vital asset: a fuel depot used by russia's South Military Grouping. The attack took place near the village of Simeikine and resulted in the destruction of fuel reservoirs containing approximately 6,000 cubic meters of fuel.

This loss is expected to disrupt the logistical chain and reduce the mobility of russian assault units operating in the sector. Fuel storage sites have been frequent targets of Ukrainian strikes due to their role in sustaining russian offensive operations.

In their statement, the SOF emphasized that these actions form part of a broader asymmetrical strategy aimed at weakening the enemy's ability to advance.

"The Special Operations Forces continue to employ asymmetric methods to undermine the offensive capabilities of the russian army," the command reported.
