During the intense battles for Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled the initial concentrated assaults by the russian army. Throughout the defense of the assaults that began on October 10, Ukrainian fighters managed to inflict significant losses on the enemy.
According to the statistics of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a total of 3,810 occupiers, 111 tanks, 208 other armored vehicles, 123 artillery systems, and multiple rocket launchers have been destroyed across the entire front line during this time.

Moreover, although these numbers pertain to all fronts, significant portions of them are the result of the skilled actions of the fighters in the Avdiivka area.
The morning report from the General Staff is quite concise: "the adversary keeps trying to break through Ukrainian defenses, to no success. The Ukrainian defenders repelled around 20x enemy attacks in the vicinities of Avdiivka, Keramik, Tonen’ke, Sjeverne, Pervomais’ke, and Netailove (Donetsk oblast)."
However, it is important to note a significant detail.

Overall, the enemy's progress on the map of the approximate frontline situation appears as follows:
However, the significant losses of russians, both in personnel and equipment, do not necessarily mean that the enemy will immediately abandon their plans.
For example, the mass assault on Vuhledar, which initially involved the extensive use of armored vehicles, began back in early November 2022 with the storming of Pavlivka village (the Volnovakha Raion of Donetsk Oblast). And it was only in February 2023 that the enemy's active attempts to capture this city concluded.
