Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has approved the Liutik ground robotic system for operational use in the Armed Forces. The decision follows testing and codification procedures carried out by the Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.
The Liutik system, developed by Ukrainian manufacturer, is a compact tracked robotic vehicle designed for transportation and support roles. Its dimensions allow for mobility and ease of deployment, including transport in standard pickup trucks, vans, or trailers.

The platform can carry up to 250 kg of payload and is built with a sealed body to protect against dust and moisture. It is designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures and terrain conditions, including soft ground, sand, and shallow obstacles.

Its electric motor and tracked chassis allow for off-road mobility, including crossing uneven ground and minor vertical barriers. This makes it suitable for logistical tasks in areas with limited vehicle access.
The Liutik system's main roles include cargo delivery, personnel transport, and casualty evacuation. The system is also compatible with various modular attachments, including combat modules, though its primary function is logistical.
The approval of the system adds another tool to Ukraine's ongoing development of unmanned ground solutions. The focus remains on support functions, with potential future expansion into armed roles depending on operational needs.
As Defense Express previously reported, Ukrainian naval infantry units have conducted a large-scale training operation focused on crossing water obstacles with heavy armored vehicles, the Ukrainian Navy reported on July 8. The exercise is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen battlefield readiness in complex operational environments.
