Ukrainian Troops Demonstrate Improved Tactics of Using Tanks, IFVs, APCs on Battlefield (Video)

The Defense Forces of Ukraine are improving the tactics of using armored vehicles on the battlefield based on the experience gained

Recently, the 5th Separate Assault Kyiv Brigade published an interesting combat episode on its social networks, where you can see in detail how Ukrainian soldiers use one or another armored vehicle on the battlefield - tanks, infantry fighting vehicles(IFV) and armored personnel carriers (APC).

In the very detailed video below, you can see how Ukrainian soldiers on M113 armored personnel carriers and CV90 IFVs, , carry out an amphibious landing not far from enemy positions under the cover of tanks.

Defense Express reached out to military expert Mykola Salamakha for comments on how effective such interaction is on the modern battlefield.

As the interlocutor of Defense Express noted, such tactics are currently the most optimal and expedient, but at the same time, everything depends on a number of factors - place, time, as well as the ability of commanders to organize such interaction.

"Unfortunately, this is not yet a mass phenomenon, although in the last two or three months, after the analysis of the situations on the battlefield that took place in June-July, very serious changes are taking place. Still, the experience is transferred at completely different levels - promptly - tactical groups, brigades, battalions and companies. Therefore, the further, the faster such actions will take place and the efficiency will increase," the specialist notes.

However, he also emphasizes that today there are a number of important issues in the context of the use of armored vehicles that need to be resolved rather quickly. First of all, it is the protection of armored vehicles against loitering munition both directly on the battlefield as well as in the places where the wehicles are located during preparations for hostilities or while repairing.

"It is necessary to very quickly organize protection against drones, especially by EW means, to detect drones in a timely manner through control channels," Salamakha claims. But he also emphasizes the fact that today there is a serious lack of time and, above all, personnel capable of organizing all these measures in a timely manner.

Previously, Defense Express told how the russian federation uses tanks on the battlefield today, using the example of a rather telling episode by Ukraine’s 66th separate mechanized brigade, when just one anti-tank missile company burned 25 enemy vehicles in 4 days
