A video has appeared in open access that captures the transfer of a column of russian military vehicles, consisting of five T-62 tanks and one BTS-4 armored recovery vehicle (ARV). It shows various improvised protection means with which the russians equip their armored vehicles.
For example, on one of the T-62s and on the accompanying BTS-4, you can see a structure that resembles a "cage." These are essentially anti-cumulative grids that cover all dimensions of the tank and/or engineering armored vehicle. The shooting angle and video quality do not allow for an assessment of whether there are additional means of protection under this "cage" and how the crew enters and exits the vehicle with such protection.

However, there is no need to mock such improvised means of protection.
In May 2023, the Royal United Services Institute for Defense and Security Studies (RUSI) was discussing the then-state of evolution of russian occupation forces. According to the report, the russians are using their T-62 and T-55 tanks as "assault cannons," and in this role, these machines are very effective.
However, even the chaotic use of various protection measures unexpectedly led to the fact that more means of attack are now needed to destroy a single enemy tank.
