In the russian federation, equipping tanks with an updated defensive grills on tank's turret ruff has already reached an industrial level. In such a way russians ary hoping to protect their tanks from Javelin, Bayraktar TB2 strikes as well as other munitions striking above

During the visit of the so-called minister of defense of the russian federation Sergiy Shoigu to the Omsktransmash tank plant, he was shown a new, perhaps even serial, configuration of the T-80BVM tank.

This tank should be delivered to the troops with a ready-made "Nakidka" radar-absorbent material camouflage kit, which should reduce the visibility of the vehicle in the thermal imaging range, as well as with a standard "grill" (some, as they think, 'defensive shield' to ward-off us-origin missiles) which is made removable. This design was characterized as a the Krysha (stands for Roof in English) dynamic protection module.

Note that the dynamic protection modules are not visible in the photo, and the structure itself consists of a grid and elements assembled by triangles. Over the hatches of the tank commander and the gunner, folding frames are made, on which, it seems, something similar to mosquito nets is stretched. This whole structure is installed on four supports.

This decision completely repeats one of the versions of the "barbecue", which was already seen on one T-72B3 tank, but it was equipped with Kontakt-1 ERA protection weighing a quarter of a ton. At the same time, the main constructive solutions are already present on it.

It should be noted that currently tanks in the russian army are not always equipped with "barbecue grills". The fact is that their first design had a huge number of shortcomings that became apparent only during active operation. In particular, the solid design of the conditional model of 2022 turned tanks into iron coffins.

At that time, these "barbecue grill" were placed quite low above the tower and completely closed the tower hatches, which made the evacuation of the wounded crew members and the quick exit of the vehicle far from an easy task.

Thus, it seems that the design of the "barbecue grill" has already been finally formed and is being mass-produced after working on errors.

Also, in the story about the work of the Omsktransmash plant, another batch of T-80BVMs, which the Russians are sending to the army, is recorded. We are talking about 15 vehicles. It was also announced in the plot that the total number of tanks that were produced for an unspecified period is 152 vehicles. These tanks are slightly different from the T-80BVM model of 2022 seen earlier, on which the 1PN-96MT-02 sight is installed instead of the standard "Sosna-U" sight. In particular, the sight received something similar to an additional armored box.

In addition to the 15- tanks batch, Shoigu was also shown equipment located on the territory of the 94th Arsenal in the city of Omsk. It is being removed from storage and is being prepared for transfer to the troops by the forces of the Russian military itself. We are talking about "Ural" trucks, BRDM-2 amphibious armoured scout cars, armored personnel carriers of various types as well as self-propelled artillery installations, including 2C4 "Tulpan" self-propelled mortars.

Cadets are actively involved in these works, but in the video Shoigu expressed his dissatisfaction with the pace of work and gave instructions to involve more people in these works.

As Defense Express reported, The Ukrainian military Seized an Extremely Valuable russian T-80BVM tank to Answer Where Aggressor-state Now Takes Tank Sights From.
