Tank crews from the 28th Brigade obliterate russian forces inside an industrial building

On the Toretsk axis, Ukrainian defenders from the 28th Mechanized Brigade, named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, successfully repelled russian assault on their positions in an old industrial building. The operation, captured in a video shared on the brigade’s official page, underscores the resilience and ingenuity of Ukrainian forces.

The attack unfolded under the cover of fog, allowing russian forces to infiltrate the building and initiate a fierce firefight. Outnumbered and unable to use artillery due to the proximity, just 20 meters, between forces, Ukrainian defenders initially deployed FPV drones to dislodge the attackers. However, the tight layout of the building and poor weather hampered the drones’ effectiveness.

Faced with these challenges, the defenders turned to a trusted asset: their tank crews. Operating under the call sign Hiurza, the tank team maneuvered through the fog to occupied section of the building. In a swift and decisive strike, they neutralized approximately a dozen russian troops, securing the position.

The brigade’s defenders described the aftermath succinctly, “In just a few minutes, about a dozen occupiers were blended with the concrete.”
