President Volodymyr Zelenskiy March in his video address to Ukrainians said that 16,000 foreign volunteers are already going to defend Ukraine.
"Ukraine receives weapons every day from our partners. From real friends. More and more powerful weapons every day. Ukraine already meets foreign volunteers who go to our country. The first of 16 thousand. They go to defend freedom. Protect life. For us." - he said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced, that Ukraine will create a new unit - the International Legion of Territorial Defense - it will include foreigners who are ready to defend Ukrainian lands. Later, a website was created to explain how to recruit volunteers for the Legion.
