The SSU notes that the enemy system was discovered just at the time when the russians planned to strike by the launcher the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which are carrying out counteroffensive actions in that direction.
The coordinates of the enemy vehicle were transferred to the the HIMARS missile system’s crew, which accurately hit the russian TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system with a precision strike.
The system was fully loaded with ammunition, so the result was spectacular shots of ammunition detonation and the completely destroyed launcher, as noted by the SSU, including the crew.
"Thanks to the coordination of the Security Service and artillery of the Armed Forces, the TOS-1A Solntsepyok was destroyed with the crew and full ammunition," the SSU said.
According to data shared by the Oryx portal, this is at least the ninth enemy Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system that the occupiers have lost since February 2022.
Earlier, Defense Express reported how the Ukrainian military destroyed an enemy 203-mm 2S7 Pion self-propelled cannon with a help of the HIMARS missile system, which was tracked down by the National Guard fighters.
